Are all medicines safe during pregnancy?

 





While a many tradition and over-the-counter specifics are considered" safe" during pregnancy, utmost medicines are not. However, here are some safety tips to follow when you're pregnant if you're taking medications for medical purposes.

  • Always read the drug marker. Many of the products will tell you on the marker if they're safe for use while pregnant. However, call your doctor, if you're doubtful about taking an OTC product.
  • Natural salutary supplements-- sauces, amino acids, minerals, mega-vitamins-- might be considered natural, but that doesn't mean they're safe. Talk with your health care provider before taking any unproven or" natural" remedy.
  • According to the FDA, aspirin and ibuprofen shouldn't be taken during the last 3 months of your pregnancy unless you're instructed by your doctor to take it. And if you feel like you need either of these drugs at any time during pregnancy, make sure you check with your doctor before taking it. These medicines can beget problems for your baby or cause problems when you're in labor
  • Talk with your doctor about special antenatal vitamins that are safe for mama and baby. OTC vitamins may have doses that are too high.
